Lots of subreddits going dark to protest their API changes. What do you think will happen to Reddit? - nothing; just a loud vocal minority care - they’ll reverse course - they’ll go the way of Digg: beginning of the end for them

I think they'll compromise, agreeing to a slightly less ridiculous API pricing model, which is probably what they wanted in the first place. In any case, we need a decentralized alternative to Reddit.
