There’s really nothing better than a good book While movies are great, and tv shows as well, there is a level of fidelity that I can get from books that I just don’t feel like I get from books. It’s also where I am at the moment - just really enjoy books Also I’ve been enjoying fiction a lot more lately, and getting so much from it. Great stories are really hard to beat. Also as I get older maybe I’m just less inclined to spend time reading things I don’t enjoy

I'm confused by your use of the word fidelity here. Do you mean that you connect with books in a way that movies and tv lack for you?

No, movies and tv connect with me in a different way. I'd say fidelity in the sense, that there is a lot more details or stories that I'm able to get into. You can get it with movies of course as well, it is in the form of rewatching. But take the LOTR and the Hobbit for example, just so much dense information about random things that take place, side quests and generally filling information about the world you are inhabiting, and there's something ostensibly nicer about that (imo)
