The question is simple. Do you think Base should make a token?

The argument has always been that Coinbase wouldn’t want to take on that regulatory burden. 

But with Trump launching a fucking memecoin, the game has kinda changed.

I’m conflicted. Part of what makes Base appealing is the fact that it doesn’t have a native token. It’s easier for newbies to understand (imo). 

But, I know a Base token would ignite a ton of additional activity on the network and probably be a big net positive.

There is nothing more powerful in this world than words.

They are winning it currently, they won't eventually. I think base is doing fine without a token, and it's helpful for eth having it as the gas token. I'd love the free money from the airdrop but think it's better without a token.

This is what the original appeal of Base was to me. But, I think a Base token would do a lot for attention and liquidity. The narrative (whether true or not) is that eth is stagnant. Hype and SOL are winning the attention game which is what drives most of this industry.
