When you’re trying to create a market in human attention onchain, one question to ask yourself: are you subsidizing demand (i.e. paying users to do a thing) or are you subsidizing supply (i.e. paying consumer apps with real and active users whose attention can be turned toward doing a thing)?

Subsidizing the end user is usually the better approach. To control user subsidies, you can: 1) Implement a time-based limitation. 2) Set a cap on the subsidy amount per user. 3) Stop subsidies after a certain level of user engagement scores is reached. I prefer the third option.
