Fun fact: Years ago, I built a streaks-focused walking app for fun. It was incredibly useful because streaks reinforce habits (the longer you build one, the less likely you are to break it). Depends on the individual (gait, speed, etc) obviously, but I’d say like 1.25hrs. I hit a lot of it en route to/from the gym and at the gym. Also opt for walking meetings (vs sit down coffee) whenever possible.

The best habit I’ve picked up over the last year is always hitting 10k+ steps a day. Rain or shine, sick or healthy, I get it done. Now on a 7 month streak. I try to walk whenever possible including taking calls and responding to emails/messages. (Proof of work below)
