Confession: If someone throws a banana peel in my trash, I don’t care how full or empty the bag is—it’s getting taken out immediately. I was mid-cooking, completely unaware, when the smell ambushed me from the trash can. Now I’m so nauseous I have to wait to eat the food I just spent an hour making. I can handle frozen or cooked bananas, but raw ones? Absolutely not.

Banana has the most pungent smell I’ve ever perceived . I could smell it in the trash from upstairs
