You know, I always want to take a yellow cab home from the airport to support the taxi drivers who, a few years ago, were killing themselves in large numbers due to the medallion debt. But I’m not even home yet and the fare is already above what I’d have paid with Uber. It’s a shame.

Final bill was a $25 difference, all for the inconvenience of having to take the extra few minutes to pay at the end. Bad system.

I took a taxi home from the airport in my city last week and I shit you not, he asked me what was the best way to get there and did not have a gps. Also the car smelled of lingering cigarette smoke and I had to crack open a window to get some (frigid) air to keep from getting sick. Not great / 10.
