How to build your first 500 followers: 1. Bias toward replying 2. Bias toward genuineness 3. Bias toward follow-first Putting these together: **Write a genuine reply to someone you find interesting, and follow the person at that exact moment.** (Repeat ~1000x)

Couldn’t agree more. My cast to reply ratio is high. It suits me and supports having conversations and connecting with people which is what I want. I also think who cares about milestone of 500 followers? I like to think of this as social platform first, marketing and branding second.

It’s not about chasing numbers β€” it’s just that having a not insignificant number of followers is desirable for two real reasons: More people see your thoughts More people take you seriously ^ This makes things materially more fun and meaningful here

In an interoperable world social proof should move beyond a followers number and /icebreaker is an example of extending this with other on-chain identify and attestations. More people seeing your thoughts is a by-product of your engagement and inputs if Warpcast/Farcast continue to have a sensible set of following/tracking features and discovery logic in discovery.

Sure. @cojo.eth shared this last week that he did some analysis and around or less <5% of primary casts are questions. I'd add this in as a tip too, perhaps people need to ask more questions vs. share opinions. Everyone shares opinions we just end up with a shouting situation like Twitter.
