Thank you for taking on the problems that matter. This is a very exciting one and a big unlock. 

(Eg, I was thinking at FC Dev day how critical it is to get each new person we onboard into farcaster a wallet that they can start using instantly, off the shelf. It’s in-feed txns that unlock farcaster’s superpowers)

I've been saying for the last ~3 years that I think there are three big problems we need to solve to unlock consumer adoption: (1) driving down fees; (2) making actually usable wallets; (3) bringing identity onchain. 

last fall, after we launched @base, @wilsoncusack came to me and said "Jesse - I know we had a good start, but we can't rest on our laurels. we need to 10x again and I think that taking on the smart wallet problem is how we do it." at first I pushed back — candidly, I was exhausted and wasn't sure I was ready to take on another big strategic push — but he kept advocating and we eventually agreed to go for it. we built the first prototype, then worked with @chintan and @sid to bring the MVP of the smart wallet to market. we knew that there would be a ton of kinks, but we wanted to get *something* live that we could build in the open with.

that takes us to now, where it became obvious that the best way to help both wallet and base accelerate was working together. lots of work to do!
