But what made you want to stay at CB and build something like Base from the ground up, instead of trying your hand at building an outside app or protocol of your own?

Hey Jesse! I love onchain summer and it is evident how hard you all work on it. I think its a fantastic Idea and well executed. Would you ever consider changing the time of year of onchain summer? I say this because summer months are typically really bad for markets. Not sure if you even care about this, but its pretty consistent.

I often feel that you and the Base team have turned 'onchain' into a buzzword. While this does help bring more mainstream attention to our space, I also think it dilutes the definition of the term. Perhaps I'm just a purist and it's time for a new set of terms in our industry. What are your thoughts on using 'onchain' to describe anything from loose interactions with the blockchain to fully onchain art, games and protocols that truly embody the blockchain medium (security, permanence, interoperability, trust, etc.)? Should we have a new word for the latter? Additionally, what are your thoughts on the current glossary of terms like 'crypto' and 'NFTs,' which have gained a negative reputation since the last bull market cycle? Should they be replaced?
