I think there’s a difference. BS has embraced a spirit of militant cancellation which I think will prevent it from ever growing beyond bringing in the set of people who like that / are ok with that. 

FC’s culture is small, but open. Nothing stops it from becoming more diverse.

just like over here in the fc void, it just matters who u follow. 

my problem with X is that i cant escape the nazi posts due to the algo being such a disaster, so its hard to even follow the folks i want
