1. Soften cold start problem for new users 2. Do so in a way that is high signal, and easily distributable (lots of people can use an invite) 3. Help existing users find the “most highly recommended” new users of the protocol

How do you see these invites being distributed? Only by MM or could you buy one? Immediately I assumed the latter but your reply made me wonder if you are thinking of another mechanism

I’m not sure, but my first thought was that it would be like the first time MM granted invites — people who met certain criteria of reliability were able to give them out. Could be something like this, maybe with an even higher bar at first.
