mlb app does this when choosing a team: it becomes that team’s app (icon, scores, stats, schedule, news, etc. just for one team)

YES - This is a WC issue that impacts other FC app devs. 
I hope MerkleM addresses it before much longer. 

Known issue since FIP2 was released last May(?). It's worse now with power badges.

Wonder if it's not being 'fixed' because FIP2 is being overhauled.🤷‍♂️
