That’s an interesting observation. You would think people who live with music would be especially “tuned” for interest in deep thinking, but I agree with you anecdotally that this isn’t the case. I will think a bit more about this vis a vis tech people in particular.

It's actually amazing, because I swear that in my industry most of the people don't read good books, they don't watch good movies, they're not interested in philosophy. The only thing of interest is to go for a drink after a concert and discuss who's sleeping with who.
