I listened to a podcast w Stuart McMillian on Huberman podcast and he discussed how he trains sprinters w Mood words to cue them w the right mindset during different phases of sprinting, e.g. push, drive, pressure, etc. Do you apply that to your training as well? Also, do you use that for other parts of your day?

Ooo great question! yes my coach also does something similar, we just call them “cues” and its normally something we use just before we jump in training but its less about mindset and more about remembering to perform an action! difference between sprints and jumps is we can talk to our coach in between each jump in competition whereas sprinters are alone out there

Agreed, I think Stuart's approach was about driving action and likely my mistake on the mindset piece Part of me wonders if there's a way to cue ourselves during life transitions Maybe journaling is a type of coaching cue to take notice and snapshot our internal states This convo makes me want to journal!🙏
