The benefit of being able to send mobile notifications cannot be understated. 

Mobile sites are great but if your users are on mobile and you don’t have a way to notify them you’re cutting yourself off at the knees.

but tbh mobile sites for crypto inherit the UX of the wallet, which as a dapp dev you cannot control. Which means, when ppl use Metamask Mobile on Android, your users are guanteed to have an abysmal experience. So I wouldn‘t even ship a website, and instead build a thing like the FC client.
