Skip: one of the takeaways that came out of Summer of Protocols is that it's much easier to define (and get an emotional reaction) to bad protocols vs. good ones. HTTP is a good protocol, but it doesn't evoke an emotional response. If I say "TSA", you immediately get a visceral feel of everything that's bad about it.
