ICYMI, in this week’s Protocolized newsletter, @timber unpacked one the foundational concepts we’ve been using to sharpen our protocol thinking: tensions ☀️ https://open.substack.com/pub/protocolized/p/one-tension-to-rule-them-all?r=4rl0&utm_medium=ios

“A tension is a trade-off plus a conflict.” Can you explain what this means? When I read the article first I was just confused and did not understand what a tension is supposed to represent. In my mind, a tradeoff is already a conflict in itself that ought to be resolved. What is a tradeoff plus a conflict? I only realized what a tension represents after a conversation with somebody who made me realize what this is about. https://warpcast.com/xh3b4sd.eth/0x4dbc13a3

Great breakdown @timber! Understanding tensions in protocol design is crucial for predicting and navigating future developments in the crypto space. Excited to see how these concepts evolve.
