What are some good examples of orgs that have optimized to stay small in terms of headcount relative to impact? How do you incentivize/reward that?

If memory is not too bad, they were saying 32 people around the time of acquisition. There are interesting interviews after acquisition at YC schools. How they did it was first the founders were highly technical doers ex-Yahoo. They knew what to do from the outset, and built scalable infrastructure right away.
