I don’t know why you insist on speaking in such a condescending and arrogant way to people equally as informed as you, but it really doesn’t make your arguments persuasive.

The happy thumb can only do so much to counter the way of speaking I developed on twitter. The hellscape of online discussion and algorithmic amplification forced me to always be forceful in my assertions, which combined with how counter-cultural they are, rubs people the wrong way. Often people I like and respect. 

If I piss you off, not with the content of my argument, but with the way I say it, let me know. I won’t be offended, and I will work to improve. We live in heated times, and we could all bear to cool down a little.
