I use a bunch of different priority modes. Each one lets different people/app notifications through and has a different Home Screen. Do not disturb for me is only for when I am recording my phone screen, at a movie, or some important event where silence/attention is required. Personal allows only close friends, no social except instagram, no wallet notifications, and (no work apps like Slack etc) on the Home Screen. Work has no social at all and very limited notifications. I suspect I use this where you would use DND. Fitness is just close contacts, audio apps, and fitness related apps and toggles on/off with Apple Watch workouts. Mindfulness toggles on/off when I’m using Headspace or Apple Mindfulness. It’s equivalent to DND but with a pass through for phone calls from a couple contacts. Sleep and Driving are self explanatory.
