gm! would like to try the app, but never used a wearable before. any recs?

(happy to hear about unsupported wearables as well)

getting a lot of DMs about wearables, here's my take

Apple Watch - best overall fitness tracker if you also want smartwatch functionality (text, e-mail, apps, etc.)

Garmin/Coros - best for runners/cyclists, most advanced tracking/analytics and longer battery life

Whoop - a great fitness/recovery tracker, especially if you don't want a screen on your wrist

Oura - a great wellness/recovery tracker (getting better as a fitness tracker), the best form factor for sleep IMO 

the wearables without screens (whoop, oura) don't have GPS and perform much better as fitness trackers (duration, activity type, pace, distance, etc.) when paired with their iOS apps

it really depends on what you'll mostly use it for and what setup you prefer (screen vs no screen)
