Yeah I saw that today and was a little shocked and couldn't remember any other time there has been this big % move in the s & p 500 guess that is because there hasn't been. It takes a lot of dough to push the s & p that much.

I've been slacking on my gratitude. Today on April 9, 2025 I appreciate 1) books because i'd much rather have paper books than ebooks. There is something more satisfying about a proper book. They sit on your shelf and remind you of the knowledge within long after you read it, when you finish an ebook it is quickly forgotten. 2) pre 1965 dimes, quarters, and nickels for the silver, flashback to when coins had intrinsic value 3) fast charging, my god I love it, remember when it took like a year to charge your phone enough to send one text message?

Idk if half the country actually wanted chaos and retribution. But if they did that would just show us why democracy doesn't work. Democracy is forcing the will of 51% of people onto 49% of people through a monopoly on violence.

Free speech is for everyone even people you disagree with. IMHO most people on the right and the left don't truly understand what free speech means and why it is so important. You cannot have a free society without it.

Well I guess he did tell the public to buy on truth social right before he announced the pause, although part of me wonders if the strong bid holding up bitcoin during some really bad macro headlines was from all the Trump insiders who knew about the pause prior to it being announced.
