gm arteeests & mfers! and we now begin again ā with monday ;) letās start w a little start, a beginning ā TWU āthisWaysUPā was my first collection in web 3. itās funny to look back now bc thereās a good bit iād much iād change about how i created it, but it was really not only a learning experience, but i made some lifelong friends that day. i almost didnāt put the collection out i was so nervous. it was nov of 2021 when i created the collection & i didnāt mint until april of 22. one, i had to wait for manifolds collection extensions ā it would have costs thousands bc it was 50 1/1s and two, bc i really stressed that first mint ā it was set in stone, permanent. no one told me you could push an update. we live and we learn. i gifted the entire collection away anyhow and that moment was one of the most fun iāve had in web 3 :)

I remember you sharing some of these before. They are nice! Are they digital or hand drawn? Is there a story behind the collection like for sad bunni3s? I minted my first works around the same time and yeah it was nerve wracking that you only get one chance to do it right! Mine was on Foundation so that was true!

sorry it took me a minute to respond! these are digitally drawn in illustrator and they do have a bit of a story...you can read a little bit here if you want to :) https://mirror.xyz/thompsonart.eth/JPWVDMc3QbJ6G_WiTZws6zPrpl4GBLoCbj1QkoaKVj4 right!? it was def a scary thing at first. got easier as you go, but at first -- terrifying! especially, bc it was drilled in that you only get one chance and you cannot make any mistakes! haha and i so remember when foundation was invite only! that same exact week that i minted -- was when they opened it up to eveyone! hahaha

That was a good read and fun to learn a little more about you and this project! Thanks for sharing! I didn't know you had twins! š I minted on Foundation in February of that year so it was still invite-only then. My first couple of collections were there before I found Manifold and after that I never minted on Foundation again, though I would still list things there since Manifold didn't really have a marketplace (discoverability was terrible for the "Gallery" and "Claim" pages). Definitely a better experience controlling your contracts though! And being able to update metadata if you needed to!
