I was considering doing it, but my wife pretty much threatened to divorce me if I tried (after her enduring my 6.5 years working on a PhD, i don’t blame her)

I finished the first 2 levels and was studying for the 3rd when no joke someone stole all of my notes and textbooks at a coffee shop so I viewed it as a sign from the universe to not complete it. I was already working in tech and didn't need it anymore but was doing it for the sake of completion

Imagine if the guy somehow read the notes, got interested enough to prep for tbe CFA, decided to ditch his life of crime, and has now become a community role model and successful financial advisor able to provide for his new wife and three kids

I would focus on the “new wife”, just saying
