the standards in Japan are so much higher! people know what good food is.

Singapore food scene (at the <$50 dollar price range) is boring, limp, and mediocre at best

I thought i was too skeptic with the ratings too, a lot of mediocre taste but rated too high

4.5 not safe lah. even have to go 4.7/4.8/4.9. mid range restaurant < hawker

tabelog is the best, I don't understand how it's not abused.
