Is there a phone OS designed for children? I would expect a restricted by default OS where all options (and what apps/domains can be accessed) are managed by a parent device.

Probably not the answer you're looking for but Android is very good for locking down devices very tightly imho. That's what I chose to use for my kids at home.

If it works, then it works. Any particular combination of tools you use to lock it down? Another friend said they use family link + a TrendMicro product.
