Permissionless access to the Farcaster social graph to identify people you regularly public interact with (and who interact with you back) is the new contact sync. Not a perfect replacement, but pretty good. Just need to scale it. :)

I see it as a fractal. L2/3/4/n's are basically copies of Ethereum, running on Ethereum. magic.

Fascinating new study quantifies how many more genetic mutations occur in offspring of older parents. Couple of key findings: - the age of the dad matters more than the age of the mom - a dad aged 50 will cause ~ twice as many more gene mutations in their offspring than a kid aged 25 So if you want your kid to be genetically closer to your and your partner, procreate early. But if you see humans as just vessels for selfish genes, then you can *accelerate* evolution by procreating late, thus creating more opportunities for selective pressure to do its job and shape the next iteration of Homo sapiens (Article is paywalled but available on sci-hub) https://doi.org/cdd9

YouTube algorithm game theory at work. I love @bankless, but from the untrained perspective of someone new to the space, it increasingly looks like "one of šš”šØš¬šž crypto YouTube channels". "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain".

Something @balajis.eth once said in a podcast that stuck with me is that no pre-internet institution will survive the internet except the CCP which had the foresight to build the Great Firewall as a means of self-preservation.

The best American leaders are aligned with the Internet, with the rising network. The worst are those aligned with DC, with the failing state. The greater their reliance on the global network, the more effective they are. The greater their reliance on the nation state, the less effective they are.

this OpEd reads as intellectually dishonest. 2 Qs: 1 why is it fine for women to be single-issue voters on abortion but not for others to be on crypto? 2 how is it fine to twist the pro-crypto stance from ā€œsupporting economic freedomā€ to ā€œselfish financial interestsā€? answer seems to be in the last paragraph

In a decade we went from just Bitcoin to millions of different unique assets. Your vector of unique assets is itself a form of ā€œdigital signature.ā€ You are what you hold.
