I'd rather call it "The Birth of DAOs", as I think you are identifying weaknesses that can be fixed, as opposed to actually saying DAOs are dead, but admittedly that wouldn't be as engaging of a title. 420 $daos for a great article

birth and death are closely related. whether the great oxygenation event is best thought of as a birth or a death event depends on whether you're an aerobic or anaerobic cell
