If you loved skateboarding, the internet, punk, rap music, tattoos, digital art, graffiti, zine culture, underground raves, or indie game dev before they were cool to the mainstream, you’re likely into onchain culture now. 

I've met so many bonafide legends from these subcultures quietly hanging out, basking in the scene. 

The same DIY spirit, the same 'fuck around and find out' energy, the same creative chaos. 

History doesn't repeat, but it sure does rhyme.

Crypto should be viewed through the lens of culture as much as it is through the lens of technology

It's the frontier of "cool", which often looks subversive at the outset and begins as an underground scene. This is also why adoption takes time, and won't come thru milquetoast appeals to the mainstream culture (ie. "web3" or "distributed ledger technology")

That's why crypto will permeate the culture. Because cool + $$$ has historically been a recipe for adoption in America, and by extension, the internet
