Crypto should be viewed through the lens of culture as much as it is through the lens of technology It's the frontier of "cool", which often looks subversive at the outset and begins as an underground scene. This is also why adoption takes time, and won't come thru milquetoast appeals to the mainstream culture (ie. "web3" or "distributed ledger technology") @nonlinear.eth had an interesting insight to add (originating from Henry Rollins), which is: crypto is more hip-hop than punk because we embrace money and success That's why crypto will permeate the culture. Because cool + $$$ has historically been a recipe for adoption in America, and by extension, the internet

Good take, I guess now we need young people (Gen Z/Alpha) because they care about being cool and define what does it even mean

Never thought I'd see this correlation on the TL but for those who know this has been evident for a while.

I've been going on culture rants for years. If you're good at culture and you love crypto, just do culture & tie crypto in.

Anyone should be able to enjoy and interact with culture without needing a deep understanding of whatever technology willed it into existence. It should work on multiple levels and encourage you to go deeper if it resonates
