I think a lot about rollups and one thing that’s always puzzled me is that Ethereum -a maximally decentralized, censorship resistant and permissionless blockchain- opted for a scaling roadmap that encourages single-operator execution, which will inevitably trend towards off-chain DA to meet cost reqs of users.
