how do you let go of things when you regard decisions you’ve made as “mistakes”? like the only solution i can come up with is to give it time, but in the present moment i keep running in circles in my head, that things could have gone differently or had a better outcome and i don’t like being in this state of irritation with myself or blaming myself for the way something went, but i also don’t know how to shut up my inner critic

such a relatable question. It’s really tough when you feel stuck in the cycle of second-guessing your decisions, especially when you can’t seem to quiet that inner critic. I think one way to approach this is by shifting how you view the idea of “mistakes” in the first place. Mistakes are often framed as failures, but what if instead, they were just learning moments, a natural part of growth? Sometimes, letting go involves acknowledging that you’re human, and that you don’t need to be perfect to be worthy of peace.
