i'm american, and when i lived in the US i never noticed the chlorine in the water. it just tasted like water to me

but i moved away, and now whenever i come back to visit, it's totally overpowering 

i can even smell the chlorine on my skin from my shower this morning

That is also true. There was another website that was not associated with EWG that did a similar thing, but I couldn’t find it. I don’t drink tap water at all, only natural spring water, and our shower has a filter too. (So not buying filters from them, just using it as a diagnostic device) but ty for researching

FWIW, googling this database turned up some articles and Reddit threads claiming that EWG tries to scare people to get them to buy specific water filters, and that they’ve done similar things with other risk vectors & products

obviously, do what you’re comfortable with! but I’m not worried personally.
