Oh, I love it.  I am absolutely a masochist - my branding pre-Curious Hermit days used to revolve around actively seeking out the painful stuff to heal it  The more it hurt, the bigger the transformation, but you have to learn your limits so  you don't rebreak yourself too often...

imo it updated my mental machinery to include darwin's algorithm. painful, but necessary: bad ideas need to be culled and my own machinery needs to do it to keep me safe.

good stress, overall. but yeah. hurts sometimes.
