@andyjagoe
has anyone worked on tokenization of real world assets (e.g. real estate or funds) or can point me to some examples of this being done well?

Thanks @vic @colin @andyjagoe quite deep in this and can offer a balanced perspective, depending on what you're looking for. To start, we're tracking everyone who's doing it well (slightly subjective) here: https://plmr.social/onchain-tokenized-rwa RWA.xyz too. Ping me if you'd like to chat [email protected]

I just sent you three PDF reports from UK Finance, BNY Mellon, and BCG on the advantages of tokenization. TLDR: the principle benefit is, as it always has been in capital markets, fractionalization + ability to do other things with the asset (e.g. post as collateral on an under-collateralized loan obligation).

@andyjagoe cont'd To tokenize literally means "to reflect an existing cap table in smaller pieces". This results in typically expensive investments (e.g. green energy, entry price at $50K minimum) to be made available in smaller chunks (e.g. tokenized green energy, entry price at $1K minimum).
