isn’t the OP paying for compute as they use it? seems like from Vercel’s perspective they’re just using a lot of compute (for the record I am heavily sketched out by Vercel and their impact on the React ecosystem, and have never tried it. probably missing something here)

so in this case OP is an app dev, right? if they’d deployed a smart contract, their -users- would be paying the compute costs as they use it rather than OP paying for everything.

ahhh yeah thanks for explaining. I get it now –you weren't talking about a la carte pricing, you were talking about users paying directly vs. SaaS models agree that for many blockchain projects, many people end up using SaaS type solutions like Infura or Alchemy anyways...
