the mental model that works for me is thinking that all of this money that i was offered as a gift can disappear tomorrow and that, if that happens, i will have to just look for a normal job and life will still be a gift

Once again, so deployed I either have to completely erase great entries because of being scared, or remain long term bullish and accept volatility without sweating it because I remain convinced we are going up long term. It's remarkably peaceful in the latter camp. Comfy even.
