why are we, as purple app users, missing out on all the big CT trends? not only that, but missing out on massive meta shifts that are happening on OUR VERY OWN CHAIN how could this be? yeah, listen, i don’t know how many times i can say this: there are 5k of us—it has nothing to do with the tech, it has nothing to do with culture—it has everything to do with the fact that there are 5k of us… this a unicorn app & there are 5k of us… more than 2 years in… and there are 5k of us—made even worse now given the fc top funnel thesis is materializing with the frames upgrade culture? culture was the <20k FIDs acting wildly elitist towards newcomers all through february & march culture was shunning degen because it spammed your precious 5k user feed—the only project that had sustainably brought in more users culture was ignoring big CT accounts that came here because “new giants would rise” culture was letting bots dilute anything & everything meaningful, including engagement itself

this is exactly what happens… we miss news, we miss opportunities… people go elsewhere soon this bleeds into development.. then we lose devs due to lack of user growth then we have a brain drain & lose our critics & thinkers as engagement dwindles i have suggested ways to grow users…practical & pragmatic solutions… as has many of us there is nothing else we can do… they don’t want to listen to their users if daus do not growth over the next 3-4 months, if there is no UA, no marketing, no eco fund, no massive grant program, no affiliate program, no nothing… the future looks bleak we all literally all betting that one app or one token goes viral… that it breaks out & brings in new users… that is our bull case… with no help from the purple app, it all rests in the hands of a dozen or so cracked devs who are building here simply because of their ideological beliefs lord knows these devs are not getting enough recognition… carrying a unicorn on their back

preach, hurt a bit to read, time to grow up and start working on more funnels if you pretend to reach mass audience, not gonna happen here any time soon fc still remains a great launchpad and sandbox for ideas, but in order to hit escape velocity you have to grow out of the 5k userbase, ffs, bleu has 10k holders (i know, not same thing as users, but makes you think)

something tells me the window of opportunity is closing & we, as users, must be vocal out of urgency if the broader market swings out of our favor in the next 4-5 months & we get caught in a 2-3 year lull before we could attract & build anything sustainable… it’ll likely be detrimental imagine us in the same place in 2026, the same place in 2027… at what point do the builders here just seek out better opportunities elsewhere

I've been informed of both but idk i didnt feel like pumping others bags nor ape i tried farming hype (too late) and got 0, could have posted bitching abou tthat but felt moot 😂 virtuals has been present here midly and they where here before even going big, just i tihnk their aesthetics (the font, the waifu vibes on stream etc) didnt do a great match here @yes2crypto.eth was talking about trading virtuals a couple weeks ago remind having a convo w him on the tl i've been getting random virtuals airdropped and selling them at 50-150 a pop 😂

agree with this. I'm ngl I've faded virtuals mostly due to font choices, which seems silly but I'm also that guy that yells at ppl at work for choosing weird fonts (unreadable) on emails

Virtuals feels like it was built by children for children and I can’t say it makes me comfortable putting money there. Maybe that’s the point? Kind of a “for us by us” vibe.

Oh, and the video I watched where they interview the founder did not change my mind about it. The thing that bothers me about this entire conversation is that it assumes that just because I'm interested in crypto, I have to be interested in ALL OF CRYPTO. I am not. And I never will be. Maybe something Virtuals will capture me in the future, but right now I just don't care. I also don't care about Bitcoin. Or Ethereum L1. And entire host of HYPE coins and DAOs and GameFi and PFP projects. If I'm going to do anything in this "space" I need to FOCUS. I'm distracted enough as it is.
