Doing a few rounds of these with a site. I'm pretty convinced any modern AI can do it 10x faster than I can (*finds fire hydrants for nth time*)

I suspect there's also hidden parts of the challenge, like having a "realistic" mouse movement pattern. Though AI can probably ace that too.

Some Captchas already validate you're a human just by hovering your mouse and not even clicking on images
