I’m wondering if people forget how to find stuff and because if this we’ll see less explorers. Searching for things in a store or web means looking at things & evaluating “is this right?”. If AI or others give us constantly exactly what we are looking for, how are we gonna explore the spaces around us?

Let's turn this now into books. When I was doing my PhD my students didn't know how to use the glossary (they didn't know it existed) and how to search within a book. They're so used to type and wait for the computer to return something. If they don't find the right answer, they give up.

They cannot wrap their heads around the idea that: - there are other search engines - they can go to a library (I know, I know, this is WILD) - talk to people and try to figure out if they are approaching the problem in the right way

Exploring as you have clearly stated is a skill that we need to master. AI helps us to explore, but you need to know how to use the tool properly or you will end up being so lazy that you will think everything is magic.
