hot take: despite great intentions, bankless is now the anti-signal. after almost exclusively covering projects in which they invested/received tokens, they now enable speculative behavior that only adds friction/frustration for builders. twitter.com/banklesshq/status/1691473487989526528?s=46&t=rxAVkMPnT_8alZYrwLqp6g

and if you don’t think they are the anti-signal for builders, ask yourself (and please answer here) why they don’t cast on Farcaster more often where they could engage with the highest concentration of quality web3 builders and users online/onchain?

I've reluctantly become a Bankless critic as their behavior became increasingly impossible to defend, but I don't think it's fair to criticize them for not tweeting here Their audience is retail trader/investors, so I don't think it would make any sense for them to be here

They're a media company that will follow what gets the most eyeballs to sell subscriptions and ads. Speculation sells the most in crypto. I learned a lot from listening to bankless early on, especially when they had Vitalik and others from the EF as guests. Haven't kept up with their content in a while.
