The biggest challenge for onchain media is not actually getting the media/content onchain. It's getting people to want to pay for it in a way that makes it sustainable for the platforms and curators bringing the content onchain to scale. We have more demand than ever to put new music on @cooprecs - but we're limited by the total addressable size of people in crypto that have an interest in paying for it

yes! creators want distribution and audiences and true fans, sometimes as much as if not more than $$

Agreed - my point is mainly that there is too much supply and not enough demand. Having trouble finding ways to get people who are currently onchain to want to collect or buy the content in a way that allows us to scale in tandem with the amount of music people are sending us. We're getting by for now but we could be doing 10-100x more supply if we can figure out how to get people to want to support it. Reality is we need to go beyond crypto and bring in a new class of buyers

which is crazy because some of the songs you put onchain recently are going wild offchain could be interesting if cooprecs takes similar path to TYB in which users are consuming / minting / being rewarded without knowing its crypto, just replace TYB brands with cooprecs musicians

Will study TYB closer here. Challenging part is how to justify dev resources towards a market that has not currently demonstrated a behavior to want to spend over ones that do (crypto-natives) We need to cross this gap in 2025 at any cost and for us it will start by letting people earn songcoins for offchain actions (making UGC on Tiktok/Reels, saving songs on Spotify) etc 1000 $DEGEN
