Every single day I fight this battle. If there was a way to live a simple life by the ocean to still surf and not have to strain to afford it, I think I'd have left software/tech already. But I haven't figured out how to make this a reality yet.

i increasingly believe the only path to a simple life is first a complex life in which we have to work very hard to make a lot of $$$ in order to attain true simplicity.

Have actually been researching CR/PR and El Salvador or going nomad for awhile.

I've also sort of subscribed to that thinking, but the complex life doesn't seem to be getting me any closer to the simple life, and the time horizon seems further and further off. The waiting for it pay off is a big internal struggle.
