/rodeo-club is losing me. I try to mint (aka "collect"). First one works, no signature, no nothing. Second one just keeps popping up that I need to deposit ETH into some other wallet. I don't want a 49th wallet to manage. I want the NFT in *my* wallet. Am I missing where to mint to MY wallet and not yet another custodial smart or whatever you want to call "not my wallet"? Zora changes things that piss off people, objekt isn't mintable in feed, highlight or whoever it is only works 30% of time... maybe I can now see why artists don't stay. If someone like me who's had probably > 10000 onchain transactions either can't figure it out or is just frustrated trying to use it, no wonder.

rodeo does mint the NFTs to your external wallet. you just have to load some $ into the embedded wallet which is used to make the payment, for UX purposes

I appreciate the explanation. At the risk of sounding <insert adjective here>, I just don't want to do that. Seems risky, unnecessary and adds friction. I doubt I'd ever use something that required me to deposit funds elsewhere just to do what I can do onchain.

As soon as you’ve funded the in-app wallet, there’s less friction than minting from your regular wallet. It’s a one-click mint.

Thank you for that. I guess I'm reacting more to every app seems to be pushing yet-another-wallet. I don't want my capital spread out all over the place. It's a management, tax, and safety nightmare. I already have ETH stored on - mainnet - BASE - zora - OP - ARB - polygon (two of them!) - blast - linea - lisk and at least half of those ALSO have WETH (wrapped ETH) and it's time-consuming and costly to move ETH around between them

fwiw i'm pretty sure the vision for Privy's cross-app wallets and ecosystem SDKs with behind-the-scenes bridging and sponsored gas solve for this exactly. we're still early (painfully). https://privy.io/blog/cross-app-wallet-launch cc @segall or @henri in case you have more thoughts.

YES!! Making some of the magic of cross-app experiences accessible to users who will never take the time to set up an external wallet is a big part of why @privy exists! Lots of very cool launches in the next few days to keep an eye out for (notably Abstract with their global wallet)!
