early FC lore: for a long ling time, there was no quote cast, only recast and recasts were weighted less than replies because conversations are critical to building a social *network*

That’s interesting but annoying when you reply thoughtfully and don’t get a response. It’s a little disheartening when that happens.

does that happen a lot? also happens to me all the time on X so i get it, but i don’t ruminate on it too much

i try my best to reply to most casts but sometimes my notifications get out of hand and i can’t keep track i’m sorry 😔

i don’t have any immediate solutions, but will do my best to set a culture of embracing new users instead of sticking to existing groups or cliques.

I think we’ve all done it when things get overwhelming so please don’t apologise, I wasn’t fishing for that. 
It has been hard at times to connect with most OGs though. You guys have a pretty strong clique, understandably from being here so much earlier than the rest of us but those who came in a year ago have definitely made the effort.
