probably my favorite piece i’ve ever made

had a call this AM with @alyssastevens (say hi!), a brilliant artist spanning across mediums incl oil pastels and pen-on-paper illustrations.

after seeing other artists get suspended on Twitter, there's a growing need for artists to own their audience — but starting over on FC is hard. what tips would you give her?

Thanks for the introduction, love her art and just followed her. Starting anywhere is hard, but on FC there's the perk of channels that newcomers can use to their advantage. My advice would be to join art channels that resonate with her and cast there so other people interested in art can find her work. Would recommend /art /pkok /anemale /veg /artfrens. I can help with invites for some of these 🫶

@alyssastevens don’t over think it and just cast. Be a reply guy. Authenticity cuts through and the only authenticity you can bring is being yourself. Which brings us back to point 1. 

That should cover it. Of of the high follower count people you see today most of us casted to max 1 like and 7 views for months.🫡

Cast about your process, add text heavy context to photos/videos of your beautiful work, engage authentically with others, ask questions if you need help!

The mistake most artists make on FC is just dumping image only posts into art channels and hoping for the best. Be a person, talk to other people, share art in the right context like humans do and you'll be fine.
