What does it feel like to go to space? someone asked Dr. Sian. Dr. Sian: "It feels like waking up from a dream—you know, when you don’t know if you’re dreaming or not." 👩🏾‍🚀 What an absolute joy to connect with Dr. Sian. We had a conversation about my final piece for the artist residency, and her prompt resonated deeply. She asked me: 🔮 What would your future self tell your inner child? That’s how I knew my piece was a poem within the CryptoBrujas story. My first love, just like hers, was writing. ✍️ Having this time as an artist in residence at @timetobehappy has brought so much depth to my craft. Feeling /grateful

Last night, @jakefried presented his piece at @timetobehappy gallery, and we had something of a brainstorming session with New York-based artists. In this photo: two students from NYU, both of them offchain. I gave Sahra one of my invite codes—she is a student in Digital Media & Immersion. One thing in common about New York-based artists: the brutal honesty with which conversations are carried out is extremely refreshing. It’s the most stimulating group of people, with guaranteed growth ✨🗽

Creator's Tip: How long does it take you to create your content, edit it, and post it? In hours ⏳ because it takes hours. Now divide that by onchain rewards. That’s your hourly rate as a creator. Unless there is additional feedback: - Engagement leading to branding, sponsorships, or other potential income generators. Keeping track of the time you invest in creating and your ROI will give you a sense of direction. The number of hours it takes to create good content is usually significant. Yes, you can engage and create content regularly and reduce the time it takes. Is the creator following the algorithm to be rewarded? Once again, are we being programmed and conditioned by the algorithm, or do we actually gain freedom? Friday thoughts 💭

Thank you for reducing my followers, @farcaster quality over quantity. 🤝 Sure, more followers boost self esteem, but they also boost the ego. We’ve already seen the effects of Instagram on our society: - High levels of cortisol - Dopamine addiction - Fragmented identities Creating and maintaining a digital identity is hard enough. We are no longer just one thing but multidimensional. A curated, intelligent network with a sense of humanity. Yes to AI, yes to bots 🤖—but have them identified. Let us know what is human and what is not.

Had a conversation about early use of @farcaster vs now. The feedback: Some people made a lot of money quickly. Not news to crypto, but when I asked about engagement it was mainly based on the ability to earn than to connect or create a social graph.

Did you know that the personalization of the Internet began long before 2009? Companies like Amazon and eBay were using recommendation algorithms in the late 1990s, and Google introduced personalized search in 2004. However, 2009 marked a major shift when Google started customizing ads based on our unique profiles, accelerating the algorithm-driven experience. The fact that, 16 years later, we are recognizing how deeply algorithms shape our behavior means an entire generation (Gen Z) has been built within this system.
