why do we (society) obsess over and often hate tech billionaires but don’t bat an eye at music billionaires (taylor swift, jay Z), sports billionaires (magic johnson, lebron), or entertainment billionaires (george lucas,  tyler perry)?

it is mainstream press and a large, loud portion of society — particularly younger generations and those living in cities. look on Instagram, TikTok, progressive urban coffee shops and you’ll see it isn’t just MSM.

what’re the bad reasons in your mind?

It is fairly safe to blame the press but in seriousness the billionaires have given them enough fodder to go hog wild with their hate to get attention. I am now on my 5th generation of billionaires and there is an increased desire to be “seen” & lot has to do with power. I can go on :)
