okay, thought about this for awhile. I’ll give you a good one and a bad one. good: my ability to remain calm under pressure. @brileigh and I were about 50ft from an active shooting in nyc back in january. luckily unharmed but we needed to get very far away very quickly. got off the pavement and was able to get us in an uber in 1-2 min. bad: how easily I lost perspective on how far I’ve come since ~2020. literal rock bottom, broke my arm in half + covid, negative net worth, fast forward to late 2024 and we have nearly everything we could want. past me wouldn’t have even believed it, yet it still wasn’t enough. december’s euphoric markets weren’t enough to get me to sell. so definitely gave back some unrealized pnl and regret that I wasn’t more grounded.
